Paul Ascough – Strange Encounters

Paul Ascough will discuss a multitude of subjects from UFO abductions to the paranormal including his own personal experiences. He will talk about how these strange encounters can overlap and intrude into our daily lives.

GUEST BIO:

Paul Ascough lived in Yorkshire all his life and attended college as a Nurse Cadet with a SRN training, then an Occupational Nurse for the National Coal Board. He joined the British Army as an infantry medic, rising to the dizzy heights of Staff Sergeant and seeing service in many countries, both as a regular soldier and in the Territorial Army. He was also a Paramedic in ‘God’s own country’ of Yorkshire until his recent retirement. Paul is currently an author and has been an investigator in the phenomenon of UFOs and the paranormal for over 50 years.

Denise Stoner – Alien Abduction Files

Denise Stoner has spent more than 20 years researching the alien abduction phenomenon, documenting the physical and psychological impact of the abduction on Experiencers, and working one-on-one with abductees. She will be discussing the most startling cases of human-alien contact as well as her own personal experiences.

GUEST BIO:

Denise Stoner is MUFON’s Assistant Director of Abduction Studies, Florida; a MUFON Field Investigator, Florida; a STAR Team member; and Director of the Florida Research Group affiliation of UFORCOP. She also holds educational forums for public and private gatherings for abduction experiencers. Her involvement in the UFO field spans more than 20 years. Denise has an educational background in business and psychology and is a certified hypnotist specializing in regressive hypnosis. She has taught classes in stress reduction for 12-plus years for professionals in such fields as medicine and law. She began her research in hypnosis under Dr. Bob Romack, (Denver, Colorado), and has also worked as a paranormal investigator in the homes of abductees that felt they had been visited by spirits following abductions.

For 12 years, Denise did background investigations for the military on recruits seeking highly classified clearances for work on nuclear submarines. Prior to retirement, Denise moved to the Naval Air Warfare Center, Training Systems Division, a military research facility where she was the training coordinator for several hundred military and civilian employees.

Driving home after a day of clearing underbrush in the Sitgreaves National Forest, seven loggers came upon a 40-foot wide shiny disc hovering on the crest of a ridge. As if spellbound, one of these loggers, Travis Walton, jumped from the passenger side of their work truck and ran toward the craft for a closer look. That decision on November 5, 1975 would change these men forever.

Travis’ story became a book and movie called, “Fire in the Sky” (1993). The Paramount Pictures feature film enhanced his “close encounter of the third kind,” (a term coined by ufologist J. Allen Hynek denoting human observations of actual aliens or “animate beings”).

Travis: The True Story of Travis Walton, recounts the experiences of the work crew that day in the forest and the weeks that followed this incident. Travis and the rest of the crew struggled to make sense of the event, enduring humiliation and job losses. Travis has encountered lifelong ridicule regarding his experiences.

The Travis Walton UFO story remains one of the most well documented stories of its kind of all time.
